Red Kites

Red kites hold a very special place in my heart. I first started photographing them in 2016 at Argaty Red Kites and in 2018 became one of their volunteer rangers. In my humble opinion they're our most beautiful bird of prey, with the most striking plumage. The whistle and forked tail are synonymous with the British countryside and their reintroduction an excellent example of ecological restoration.
